After working in corporate America for 34 years, I retired early in 2011 at age 53 because of chronic health issues and a profound need for change. I worked in Home Health Care for a few years after that, and while I loved the work, unfortunately my body just broke down. For several years I barely left my home because of chronic fatigue and chronic pain. Despite my endless search for help, nothing took me over the tipping point that lead to real health until Reiki came into my life in 2020 at the age of 62. Everything has changed since then. It has brought me physical healing, emotional/mental healing, and a spiritual component I did not expect.
Physically I went from dealing with body pain and fatigue most days to being able to go without napping. Additionally, I experienced a huge reduction in the stiffness that had been overtaking my body daily.
Mentally I went from being in fight or flight mode 100% of the time to a nervous system that is much less anxious and hypervigilant. My nervous system can now regulate itself with awareness and self-love when life happens. I went from crying everyday over my situation to being joyful and excited about my life. Where I had felt victimized, depressed, stuck, and isolated, I now feel more alive than ever before. After my first Reiki session with Jenny Stinson of The Peace Room in Boise, Idaho, I felt improvement. By the fourth session, it was obvious that it was helping, and I knew I had to learn this for myself. Thus began my journey to be a Reiki Master. What an exciting journey it has been!
Spiritually, that would take a book to explain. Let's just say I am much more intuitive, and synchronicities happen daily. As my Reiki teacher Jenny Stinson always says, "You can't make this stuff up."

Working with Reiki energy is unbelievable at times. I feel guided, protected, and loved. The saying that life is happening for you, not to you, makes a whole lot more sense to me now. I thought I understood that, but I understand it better every day because I'm living it. I am so grateful for this new found life. I feel connected to life like never before.
